A Melville office park can look like any suburban campus until you meet receiving. The dock is built for pallet freight, not for a coffee cart at 11:15. Many Hauppauge industrial neighbors only accept vendors in an early band. If we miss it, beans sit in the truck and the office still expects 8 a.m. espresso.

We already note Hauppauge dock mornings in an earlier archive piece. This post is the band itself: hours, appointment, and what happens when the office and the warehouse share one receiving door.

Get the dock hours in writing

Ask whether a reservation is required, whether a liftgate is needed, and whether the office entrance is even allowed for vendors. Some parks will not let us walk cases through the lobby. Some will not let us on the dock after the morning cutoff. Those are different buildings. Tell us which you are.

LIRR reverse-commute peaks are a different Long Island story. Here the constraint is the door, not the train.

Warehouse pours start before the office

If the same account covers a plant floor and a front office, the 6 a.m. shift will empty milk before our 9:30 dock slot. Either we get an earlier band or the warehouse needs a buffer fridge that the office does not raid. Cup billing will show the pours. Restock has to respect the shift.

Use the two-week trial FAQ and log dock-in versus pantry-in. The break room readiness quiz is a useful score if facilities already knows receiving is the bottleneck.

Do not leave dairy on a sunny apron

Long Island August heat on a loading apron will ruin milk while someone hunts a signature. Name a holding fridge at receiving or delay dairy until the cart is inside.

What we need on the call

Dock hours, appointment rules, whether office and warehouse share receiving, and the earliest the shift pours. Mention Melville versus Hauppauge if the account spans parks.
